10+ Best Hotels in Brooklyn for Getting Ready on Your Wedding Day
A lot goes on before your actual wedding ceremony even starts. You’ll most likely spend hours getting hair and makeup done, hanging out with your bridal party, and hopefully taking some fun photos! But this is NYC and not all rooms are created equally. In order to make sure you have the best possible day ever, here are some tips for starting it out right.
Make sure there is PLENTY of natural light in the room. This makes a world of difference in your images and ensures you get the best possible results.
Pick a hotel style that goes with your aesthetic. Nothing throws off the look of your full wedding gallery more than a hotel with bright green carpet and dated wallpaper when your wedding vibe is modern and minimalistic.
Try to have all bridal details together before the photographer arrives. This includes the dress on a cute hanger, all your jewelry (including wedding bands!), your shoes, bouquet, invitation suite, vow books, or anything else you want documented.
Keep all bags, snacks, and any trash to one side of the room. Mostly we’ll be taking pictures near the window or on the wall directly across from it if there is enough light. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve spent the first 20 minutes just cleaning up!
Allow more time than you think you need. Hair and makeup often runs overtime, especially if it’s more than just you getting ready. It’s much better to be safe than rushed.
RELAX and have FUN!! There’s absolutely no reason to stress during this time. You’ve found the one for you and get to start the rest of your life with them today. This is going to be the best day ever!

1 Hotel - The hotel is all about the modern design and gorgeous views. The rooms are fairly small and rather pricey, so it’s not the best for big bridal parties, but definitely makes a statement in your photos.
The Williamsburg Hotel - This hotel is located right in the middle of all the Williamsburg action. They offer natural, minimalist rooms with a touch of luxury. Their skyline rooms offer gorgeous views of Manhattan and lots of places to take fun photos with your bridal party.
The Hoxton - The Hoxton really embodies modern comfort. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light and beautiful views.
The William Vale - One of our absolute favorites, The William Vale has beautiful neutral rooms and a variety of suites with balconies overlooking the city. And after you get ready in the room, there’s a beautiful elevated park that’s part of the hotel and perfect for pictures.
Wythe Hotel - The perfect example of industrial modern, these spacious rooms over exposed wooden beams, bricks, and vintage wallpaper. Many of the rooms over tons of space for big bridal parties and floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of natural light. l
Tillary Hotel - With it’s location right next to the Manhattan Bridge, the Tillary Hotel makes for easy travel for weddings happening in Brooklyn or Manhattan. We really recommend making the most of this place by booking the Patio Suite which offers a big outdoor space with fun graffiti on the walls. Perfect for some Brooklyn-themed photos.
Henry Norman Hotel - Once home to a 19th Century Textile Warehouse, this boutique hotel offers amazing views with large loft style suites. The funky and unique design of the hotel make it great for some memorable photos. Plus, many rooms offer outdoor space.
The Brooklyn - A little farther into Brooklyn than most of the hotels on this list, The Brooklyn offers simple, but modern rooms. The exposed bricks offer a great backdrop for photos and there is plenty of room for getting ready.
Hotel Le Bleu - Located in Gowanus, Hotel Le Bleu is great for weddings happening deeper into Brooklyn than most on this list. The rooms have a simple modern design that make the perfect backdrop for any style wedding. And as a bonus, many of the rooms come with balconies and city views.
Hampton Inn Downtown Brooklyn - I know what you may be thinking, but I promise you this Hampton Inn is especially nice. The rooms are big and nicely decorated. There are lots of affordable options for rooms as well as a couple amazing suites. Plus, there’s a lounge on the top floor that (if you ask them super sweetly) the staff will let you use if no one else is in there. And the view is incredible!
