Old Hollywood Inspired Studio Engagement Session // Amanda + Wesley
If there’s one person I can credit to my early photography career, it’s Wesley. When I met him while I was in high school, I was still shooting on auto mode on my Canon Rebel. He taught me how to use my manual settings, the true meaning of RAW photos, and how to take excellent portraits. We reconnected more recently when he was up in Brooklyn visiting Amanda before they were even dating. So when I heard they were engaged, I couldn’t wait to offer my services. Between the two of them, I knew I was in for a super fun shoot with these two filmmakers.
They knew they didn’t want just regular engagement photos, so we brainstormed and came up with an old hollywood filmmaking inspired engagement session in studio. They reached out to a friend who let us borrow a genuine early 1900s film light and boy, did it get HOT in there. But that couldn’t stop us from creating some amazing imagery together. It’s fashion and editorial, yet lighthearted and fun. Amanda even dawned a drawn on mustache for her turn as the director!
I couldn’t be happier with the way the photos came out and can’t wait for you to see them!
